Prof. Alina WIELICZKO,

A professor of the University of Environmental and Life Sciences, the Head of the Division of Birds Diseases. The specialist in aviopathology, focused on bacterial and viral diseases diagnostics and eradication in poultry and free-living birds. Professor Wieliczko is a member of the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA), the World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA), Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences as the President of the Section of Physiology and Pathology of Birds and the Committee of Agricultural Sciences Department of Sciences in Wroclaw . Vice-Rector for International Relations and Regional Cooperation of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (since 2008). Honorary Professor of the University of Sciences in Kiev.

11_a_balicka_ramisz Prof. Aleksandra BALICKA-RAMISZ

A professor of Department of Biotechnology of Animal Reproduction and Environmental Hygiene West Pomeranian University of Technology Szczecin. One of the main topics of research is coccidiosis of animals. She has participated in extensive research on rabbits, lambs, poultry, nutria, pigs, cattle, goats and pigeons coccidiosis. She has determined the species composition of protozoa of the genus Eimeria, extensiveness and intensity of infection, the dynamics of the course of the invasion, the economic consequences and has developed programs for the eradication and prevention of coccidiosis in young animals. Her research interests have practical and economical impact. She is a member of international scientific societies: the International Coccidiosis Commission EU of COST- 89 since 1992, in the years 1992-1994 she was a member of the executive committee of that Commission; the International Commission on Trichinellosis since 2000 and national scientific societies Polish Society of Parasitology, Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences and Polish Society of Animal Husbandry.

The head of the Department of Parasitology and Invasive Diseases PIWet-PIB since 2008. Professor is involved in the organization of learning and training activities. He is a member of the PIWet-PIB Scientific Council and the Scientific Council of the Institute of Parasitology Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a chairman of the Committee of Veterinary Parasitology Polish Academy of Sciences. Professor is a member of the Polish Parasitological Society and Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences. Since 2008 he has been on the board of the Lublin division of the Polish Parasitological Society, and in 2010-2014 he was its chairman. Prof. Cencek is also a member of the Board of the magazine “Polskie Drobiarstwo”. He is a member of the Council for Organic Agriculture at the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. He conducts many seminars for employees of the Veterinary Inspectorate, as well as training under professional specialization for veterinarians.

Andrzej Koncicki Prof. Andrzej KONCICKI

Since 1999 he has important administrative functions at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn as vice-dean, dean, vice-rector. Currently he is a head of the Department of Poultry Diseases, a dean of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty, a chairman of the Budgets and Development Senate Committee. He was the Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences vice-president and the president, and a member of the Interdisciplinary Team of Experts among the International Programs at NCBiR. He is a member of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences Polish Academy of Sciences, a member of the Scientific Council of PIWet- PIB, a member of the Sanitary and Epizootic Council of the Chief Veterinary Officer, vice-president of the Warmia-Mazury veterinarian association, a member of the editorial boards of several journals, a member of the World Poultry Science Association, a member of the Examination Commission of the specialization edition No.5. . Interests research of Professor Koncicki are mainly related to current problems in the epidemiology and prevention of poultry diseases especially among turkey flocks.

RS Prof. Rajmund SOKÓŁ,

Since 2009 he has been the head of the Department of Parasitology and Invasive Diseases in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Olsztyn. Currently, in the Department, the research in parasitology vertebrates and invertebrates is being done, such as invasion of protozoa of the genus Eimeria, and diseases of utilitarian insects. Prof. Sokół is engaged in scientific, educational, organizational and training activities at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He is a member of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, a member of the Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences, a member of the Polish Parasitological Society. He was the president of the Section of Veterinary of Polish Parasitological Society for the period of 6 years and the vice president of the Board of the Polish Parasitological Society. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Annals of Parasitology and a member of ESSCAP Poland.
